Working For Our Community

I was born and raised in Rumford, were I currently reside with my wife of 15 years, Ciara. Together we are raising four children.

I have been a Firefighter for 25 years. I am currently the Assistant Fire Chief for the Town of Roxbury. I also work for Med-Care and Bethel Rescue. I currently work for eight towns as the Animal Control Officer. My full time job is at RSU 10 as the Trip Driver.

In 2023 I was named Greater Rumford Community Center Volunteer of the Year. I enjoy coaching for the GRCC in baseball and floor hockey were I have coached my step son and son for many years.

I am running for office with the passion and drive in politics, which I hope to benefit in the community that I serve. I have a strong passion for our school and education system. I would also like to work on retaining our first responder system.

If I am elected on November 5, as your State Representative I will fight in Augusta for each and everyone in Bethel, Byron, Hanover, Milton Township, Roxbury & Rumford.

Issues

Schools

Our school system is starting to fall backwards. Students are underperforming from where they should be, teachers are overworked and underpaid, and support staff are few and far between with less demanding opportunities. I would like to find ways that we can get back to high performing schools and retain the best employees, so that the students we are graduating are sought after by colleges and employers.

Public Safety

Too many of our fire departments are operating on fewer and fewer volunteers. We are losing our critical first responders who are aging out and not able to recruit new firefighters. There's some great work being done in the legislature's Blue Ribbon Commission, but more needs to happen. When you call 9-1-1, you need to have someone at your home ASAP, not get a dial tone because no one is on the other line.

Job Opportunties

Quality job opportunities are fewer and farther between where they used to be. I want to bring more employers into our region and I want to work with our tech schools to setup our students for success into these good paying jobs. Too many young people are leaving Oxford County for jobs in Southern Maine or in another state. We cannot let our corner of the state be boarded up.
